Change Manager

This newly created role will lead the Transformation Programme Office at DCK, as the business develops an Operating Model to support the ambitious growth plans.
The TPO is the hub for Projects and Programmes and will work across all functions including B&M, Supply Chain, IT, Stores, Online and HR. The role will report to the Group Operations Director.

What you will be doing…

 Key responsibilities will be to;

  • Lead the project portfolio, working closely with Sponsors, Business Process Owners and IT to manage and coordinate multiple complex projects simultaneously

  • Stand over the development of the Operating Model, ensuring best-practise is documented and communicated

  • Gather, structure and track information across multiple projects with precision, reporting progress and risks to DCK Board of Directors

  • Ensure business cases are in place for all projects

  • Balance resource to ensure all projects within the portfolio can deliver to the defined timeline

  • Coordinate with Business Analysts to ensure user requirements are gathered and prioritised, facilitating workshops to develop solutions

  • Ensure all projects are fully implemented, using agreed methodology

  • Coordinate HR, process owners and trainers to ensure that the appropriate level of training is offered when required.

  • Maintain a close relationship with end users and build a comprehensive understanding of business processes and business terminology.

  • Manage and mitigate project risks.

  • Building a narrative for the journey that the team is on, the changes coming, why we are making the change and how it benefits DCK

  • This role is likely to evolve and develop with the needs of the business

What we are looking for?
In order to be successful in this role you will need solid previous experience working on a large scale business transformation projects or within a Programme Management Office. You will currently be operating at this level already.

In addition, you will have the following;

  • Formal project or programme management training, and an understanding of change management theory and practice are beneficial

  • Be a proactive team player with a flexible approach

  • Ability to build effective relationships and is confident influencing stakeholders at all levels of the business

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Creative thinking to turn complex information into engaging communications

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, including managing competing priorities and deadlines
