HR Business Partner – 2 opportunities

We have a 2 brand new opportunities to join our Billericay based HR team as HR Business Partners for DCK. These roles aim to develop the capability of all our employees to enable the delivery of our business plan. We have one opportunity to support our Retail team and also another new role to support our Logistics and Distribution teams as well as our Support functions within Head office.

What you will be doing…

We have a 2 brand new opportunities to join our Billericay based HR team as HR Business Partners for DCK. These roles aim to develop the capability of all our employees to enable the delivery of our business plan. We have one opportunity to support our Retail team and also another new role to support our Logistics and Distribution teams as well as our Support functions within Head office.

Across both roles you will support the delivery of HR processes in accordance with the People Plan building strong business relationship with managers and their teams. You will support managers in enhancing business results through improving performance, capability and motivation of their people

Key responsibilities will be to: 

  • Design and maintain job profiles and organisation charts

  • Review structures to drive efficiency, effectiveness and cost saving

  • Design succession plans for key talent and key job positions

  • Maintain posts within competency bands

  • Develop and review competencies – ensuring consistency across the business and embedded in all HR activity, recruitment and PDP

  • Identify opportunities for improvement, proposes and implements changes

  • Manage the PDP, 360 and talent planning process – providing training to deliver these, as necessary

  • Identify the big messages and training needs from PDPs: recommend solutions and ensure that   follow up action is taken

  • Review return rates and results from the Employee Survey; facilitate employee survey feedback groups; work with management teams to ensure continued improvement and that appropriate action is taken

  • Undertake ‘1 month after’ (new starter) contact – ensure appropriate follow up action is taken

  • Ensure new starters are allocated buddies and rising stars are allocated mentors

  • Run assessment days

  • Provide support to managers to deal with performance issues

  • Provide HR support to projects to ensure changes are made to ways of working and job profiles

  • Work with other members of the HR team as necessary

 

What are we looking for?

This role is a great opportunity for an existing HR Manager, HR Business Partner or Senior HR Adviser looking for a move into a dynamic fast paced retail environment. Previous experience within the Retail sector would be ideal and experience of field based employees would be especially relevant for the Retail HR BP role.

In addition, you will have significant experience in;

  • Leading projects and initiatives that enhance employee engagement

  • Supporting annual performance review processes

  • Delivery of training and facilitating workshops in partnership with the L&D team

  • Reviewing and analysing People KPIs to implement actions to drive engagement and productivity

  • Employment Law

  • Acting as an employee champion and change agent for initiatives

  • Collating and analysing management information

  • Acting as a coach and mentor to managers and team members
