Alan Witzenfeld
Founder

Alan has spent the entirety of his forty-year career in fashion jewellery, originally obtaining the licence for Pierre Cardin jewellery in the UK and then starting DCK Concessions as a standalone business in 1992. Alan introduced the concession model to fashion jewellery, and his vision has led DCK to become one of the largest and most successful fashion jewellery businesses worldwide.

Now chairman, Alan supports DCK with his knowledge and experience and particularly enjoys sharing his expertise with the younger generations across the business.

Mark Witzenfeld
Chair of the Board

Joining in 2002, Mark has had a long and varied career at DCK supporting the group in commercial roles across many of its brands including as Head of Property for both Kenvelo and Diva Australia, before being appointed Commercial Director for DCK Group in 2015. Mark was appointed Vice Chairman in 2019 and is responsible for driving the group’s strategic direction. Since his appointment in the role, DCK has grown its focus on online platforms such as Asos and Zalando, as well as developing new brands like Liars & Lovers and increasing its international presence. Mark has also helped the business adopt new technologies across the business.

Lorraine Bottomley
CEO

Lorraine has significant expertise in fashion retailing, trading across multi-channel models and in business transformation. After beginning her merchandising career at Arcadia, Lorraine moved to Tesco where she helped establish F&F clothing and after 11 years had ensured F&F is considered a critical part of Tesco Stores’ offering. Following this, Lorraine moved into Tesco’s General Merchandise business to help transform it into a multichannel operation.

Following her move to DCK in 2015, Lorraine quickly progressed through merchandising and trading roles to become appointed as CEO of DCK Group in 2019.

Ian Byrne
Group Finance Director

Ian is a chartered accountant, having qualified in 1985. After leaving practice in 1995, he joined DCK as Finance Director and oversees all aspects of accounting and finance as well as IT, payroll and HR.

During his tenure, he has overseen the rapid expansion of the business, as well as private equity involvement, along with financial restructuring and ultimately bringing the business back to private ownership.

His current role as Group Finance Director has seen him relinquish his day-to-day involvement in operations, but Ian sits on the board of all group companies.

Daniel Colyer
Finance Director

Daniel is a chartered certified accountant with over 17 years of post-qualification experience. He joined DCK Group in 2012 as Financial Controller and was promoted to the board of directors as Finance Director in January 2017.

Before DCK, Daniel started his career in financial practice and qualified as an accountant during his time with Baker Tilly in 2002. In 2007, Daniel joined the Swatch Group as head controller for the UK, where he gained five years’ valuable commercial experience in retail and wholesale distribution before swapping watches for jewellery when he then joined the DCK Group.

Kate Bryant
Buying and Design Director

Kate is Buying and Design Director at DCK Group. Whilst at university she completed a placement year at River Island, beginning her passion for buying. She spent nine years at DCK Group before embarking on a new challenge buying jewellery and accessories for Urban Outfitters. She re-joined DCK in 2017 as Head of Buying with a clear vision to set the business apart with the best jewellery product design and quality. She was promoted to Buying and Design Director in 2018 with a focus on continuously reinventing fashion jewellery.

Liz Rees
Merchandise Director

Liz joined DCK in 2015 as Head of Merchandising before being promoted to Merchandise Director in 2018. What Liz loves about DCK is the business’s ambition and working across the ever-evolving retail landscape. Starting her career at Topman, Liz has extensive experience in retail having held roles at Arcadia, Mothercare and Tesco where she worked across footwear, accessories and homeware.

Oliver Simons
Operations Development Director

Oliver joined DCK in 2003 following his return from Australia where he held various roles across the retail industry and was appointed to the board in 2019. With a background in merchandising, Oliver developed the Wholesale business at DCK, delivering expansion across the B2B and franchise markets. Oliver now leads the business’s operations across Technology, Distribution and the Field Team, including the exciting digital transformation that is taking place.

Sarah Griffiths
People Director

With nearly 20 years’ experience in HR, Sarah has worked across many industries, including banking, digital and telecoms, before focusing on retail for the largest part of her HR career. Having spent 12 years implementing transformational and structural change within Tesco, Sarah moved on to strategic roles within TJX, focused on developing European talent pipelines and developing business agility.

Sarah joined DCK in 2019 as People Director and focuses on strategic organisational design, supporting business growth and culture development.
